"His Tolerance Was Very Little For Failures": Dinesh on Ravi Shastri

Aug 17, 2022

During his time as India's head coach, Ravi Shastri used to push players to achieve extraordinary things, but he had very little patience for failure, according to experienced wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik. The 37-year-old had only sometimes featured while Shastri was India's coach, particularly during the 2019 World Cup. The Shastri-Kohli era was successful for Indian cricket, but certain players frequently criticized the pair for failing to stand up for them when they needed a little more understanding. Karthik stated on Cricbuzz docuseries 'Summer Stalemate', "He (Shastri) had a very poor tolerance for someone who wouldn't bat at a speed he didn't like or someone who was doing extremely differently in the nets and in the match, he would go and bat differently." "Shastri (the speaker) wouldn't think much of that. Shastri had very little patience for mistakes since he was extremely clear about what he expected of the team and how it should play. He consistently encouraged others to perform well. Karthik, a 36-year-old designated finisher in T20 matches, has previously stated that the Rohit Sharma-Rahul Dravid era has made him feel much safer and at ease. In Shastri's time as a head coach, India won two Test series against Australia, drew a Test series 2-2 with England, and advanced to the World Test Championship final. "I believe Shastri was a player who, while perhap

Aug 12, 2022

The Delhi government on Thursday declined to give Divya Kakran, who is representing Uttar Pradesh and won the Commonwealth Games in 2022, a monetary award. This is in response to Divya Kakran, an Indian wrestler, accusing the Delhi government of failing to assist her and forcing her to relocate to Uttar Pradesh. Saurabh Bhardwaj, an AAP legislator, remarked, "Although she resides in Delhi, she only served as a representative for 2016–17. In 2018, CM Kejriwal made a cordial phone call to her. We have always respected her, but since she worked for UP, we are unable to pay her." Divya Kakran revealed during a press conference that she went to Delhi in 2001 and began training in wrestling in 2006. "I've been living in Golakpur for the past 22 years. My father found a way to get me wrestling training here. I made money by competing against boys, but the Delhi government gave me no financial support. I went to UP since my family was suffering greatly as a result of our poor financial situation. I previously won numerous medals for Delhi, "she said. Kakran reported that only Manoj Tiwari had given her the financial support of 3 lakh despite the fact that she had won 58 medals for Delhi up till 2017. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, presented me with the Rani Lakshmi Bai award and a check for ₹3,11,000, she continued. Shahzad Poonawalla, a spokesman for

The facilitation and promotion of any gambling-related activities are prohibited by Bangladeshi legislation. The BCB will look into the all-recent rounder's social media post touting his connection with "Betwinner News," per a Cricbuzz report. Shakib, a veteran of nearly 400 international matches with more than 12,000 runs and nearly 650 wickets, will be given a show-cause notice, according to BCB president Nazmul Hassan. Two things are present. First of all, there is no likelihood of getting our consent because we won't grant it. The website cites Nazmul as saying, "If there is anything associated to betting, we won't issue any approval. "That indicates that he did not request our approval. Second, we need to confirm whether he actually executed a contract or not. On Thursday
