George Miller of Scotland becomes the oldest medalist in CWG history at the age of 75.

Scotland's George Miller won the mixed pairs title in lawn bowls. The team defeated Wales 16-9 to win the gold medal in the para mixed pairs.

The mixed pairs gold in lawn bowls for Scotland on Friday made 75 years and eight months old George Miller the oldest competitor to take home a medal at the Commonwealth Games. Scotland defeated Wales 16-9 to win the gold medal in the para mixed pairs B2/B3 event at Victoria Park thanks to the team of lead Melanie Innes, her director Miller, and skip director Sarah Jane.

Miller replaced colleague Rosemary Lenton as the oldest Commonwealth Games gold medal winner, saying, "I believe Rosemary is quite happy."

Regarding his advice to senior citizens who might be interested in playing the sport: "Bowls is relatively simple for older players, but any sport—walking, football, rugby—you name it—gets you outside, moving, and having fun. Being competitive is fantastic at any age "says he.
