On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened a 2,600-bed private hospital featuring state-of-the-art equipment, including a centralized, fully automated laboratory.

At the event were also Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Governor Bandaru Dattatreya of Haryana.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi noted that spirituality and healthcare are intertwined in India. The largest immunization effort in history was made possible by a successful spiritual-private partnership, he continued, citing COVID-19 as an excellent example.

The country's advancement in the healthcare sector will come from a combination of technology and modernization, the Prime Minister said, adding that India is working to ensure that governments and other parties step forward to reform the health and education sectors on a mission mode.

With the help of Mata Amritanandmayi Math, the cutting-edge Amrita Hospital was created on a vast 130-acre site with sustainability in mind. It contains a dedicated seven-story research building and was erected over the course of six years.

The brand-new super-specialty hospital has 500 beds at the start, and it will be completely operational over the course of the following five years. According to earlier statements made by hospital officials, when it is completely operational, the hospital with 81 specialties will be the biggest private hospital in Delhi-NCR and the entire nation.

The hospital would have 36 lakh sq. of buildings., with a 14-floor tower holding the main medical facilities. On the rooftop, there is a helipad as well.

A medical college will be located on the campus of the new mega hospital, which is located in Sector 88 in Faridabad close to the Delhi-Mathura Road. It has a built-up area of one crore square feet. On the grounds are a specialized seven-story research building and eight centers of excellence, including those for mother and child care, renal sciences, bone disorders and trauma, transplants, and gastro-sciences.

The hospital contains high-tech, fully automated central laboratories as well as wards and OPDs that are patient-focused.
