In her cross-examination before a special court in Mumbai on Monday, Rabia Khan, the mother of Bollywood actor Jiah Khan, denied allegations that her daughter had previously attempted to harm herself by slicing her wrists.

In June 2013, Jiah Khan's body was discovered at her apartment. In the case that the police and the Central Bureau of Investigation were looking into, actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was dating the 25-year-old actor, was arrested for aiding suicide.

Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab's kid, Sooraj Pancholi, is currently on bail and living in Bollywood.

Before Special Judge A S Sayyad on Monday, Pancholi's attorney Prashant Patil cross-examined Rabia Khan.

Mr. Patil cited Rabia Khan's admission to Mumbai police that Jiah Khan had previously tried to harm herself by slicing her wrists three times.

Rabia Khan disputed this and stated, "I never said it. This kind of stuff didn't happen. I was made to say that by the police. It is incorrect if the defense (Sooraj Pancholi's attorney) asserts that my daughter committed suicide." After several burglars attempted to steal her watch outside their home, she claimed Jiah Khan damaged her wrist.

Rabia Khan also responded to Mr. Patil's claims that Jiah Khan experienced childhood trauma while living in London.

Rabia Khan stated that by enquiring about a certain occurrence that occurred in the past, the accused was trying to malign the image of her daughter.

Jiah Khan was most known for her performance in film 'Nishabd' starring Amitabh Bachchan.

According to the CBI investigation, Jiah Khan committed suicide and Sooraj Pancholi urged him to do so.

The CBI drew upon a three-page note apparently written by Jiah Khan and recovered by Mumbai police on June 10, 2013, which described her alleged "intimate relationship, physical abuse, and mental and physical torment" at the hands of Sooraj Pancholi and allegedly led to her death.

But according to Rabia Khan, this was a murder case, not a suicide.
